Conference Weekend & a Birthday Party {10.2.11}

General Conference weekend was a busy one.  Saturday we spent most of the day moving to our new place, which we love and I'll post more on later.  Sunday morning we had our traditional breakfast at Nana and Papa's house--pancakes, eggs, sausage, eggs, sweet rolls, deliciousness.  We watched the first session there and it was perfect.  The kids played well with each other so I actually was able to listen.

We watched most of the afternoon session at my parents' house and then it was off to start a new tradition of Family Home Evening with the Christensen side at my brother's house.  We played a General Conference Q & A game.  It was a lot of fun and I'm impressed by how well the kids had listened to the talks.

We finished off the party with a combined birthday party for Meagan (11), Spencer (5), and Kaylee (3).  They all were thrilled to be in the spotlight.  Kaylee had been talking all day about going to her birthday party and eating cake so she was in heaven.

A cute thing we did for each of the birthday boy and girls.  Each person said one thing they liked about them.  It was very sweet.  Some things said about Kaylee, "I like how you LOVE animals." "I love your sweet smile."  "I like your giggle."  Such a fun idea that I'd like to continue in our home.

Kaylee was spoiled good and thanks again everyone for the fun presents!

We had such a great time; we can't wait to have our next FHE party.
