I had a doctor's appointment today and I went expecting no news but boy was I surprised.  Dr. Ferguson checked me and I'm dilated to a 1 1/2, 75% effaced, and he said the baby has dropped.  I couldn't believe what I was hearing.  I was nothing in all aspects with Kaylee until the day I went into labor with Kaylee.  Dr. Ferguson then asked if I would like to be induced NEXT WEEK, if I don't have the baby before then.  I was so shocked I didn't know what to say or think at first but I of course said "Yes!"  We set up the induction date, January 6, 2011, and we'll go to the hospital at 8:00am if I don't go into labor before then.  I'm a little nervous about it all however.  It seems so crazy to have an actual deadline date.  One more week and then my family of three becomes four!  I'm also a little nervous to be induced because everything went so great with Kaylee's labor and delivery without being induced that I hope everything goes just as well if I do get induced.  I'm sure that it will because Dr. Ferguson said my body is ready to have this baby and I feel ready also but it's just the unknown.  It's always a little nerve wracking not knowing what to expect.  He also stripped my membranes but so far I haven't had any real contractions. I've been a little nauseous but other than that just another pregnant day.    We shall see how this next week goes however.  Maybe we'll get to meet our little girl before the week's end?

Happy Birthday BJ! (12.21.10)

Brennen turned the big 27 this year!  We had a nice low-key morning that started off with a french toast breakfast (made with homemade bread) and ended up by opening his presents.

Delicious candy from our Hawaiian family members, The Jacoways!

I'd never dare buy him pants.  He's way too particular so an IOU seemed like the perfect compromise.

Kaylee was an extra good helper.

I was so excited for his present this year because I actually surprised him!  I didn't give in and tell him or buy it with him there but I actually thought of the idea myself and kept it a secret.  I even bought it for him the first weekend of November!  I couldn't wait for him to open it but I'm pretty sure he liked it.

Lookin' good in his new BYU hoodie.

That evening we met up with his family at Goodwood Barbecue for some yummy food before the main event of the night, the BYU vs WSU basketball game.  Our BIL Dave got the Fuller families tickets to the game.  He totally rocks.  Thanks again Dave!  Our seats were awesome and you really made Brennen's night.  He loves his BYU Cougars and he couldn't wait to see Jimmer play in person.  The game was a little closer than expected but it was a lot of fun to watch.

Carter made it on the jumbo screen.

Izzie and Luke dancing.  They also made it on the big screen.

Our faces all red because it was SO HOT in the arena.  (PJ in the background)

Willard Bay Lights (12.20.10)

We've driven past the Willard Bay Christmas lights for years and have never been so this year we wanted to make sure it was at the top of our "Holiday To Do List."  It was a little expensive, $8 a car, but we all had a lot of fun.  In fact, at the end of the course Kaylee was asking and signing "more" so we went around the course again.  There was the option of the riding the course by a horse drawn carriage, it's free of charge, but the line was incredibly long so we decided that our nice toasty car was good enough.

Kaylee really enjoyed seeing all the lights but her top two favorites-- (1) a Santa and his reindeer flying through the air and (2) the Jazz Bear.  She talked about the "Jazz Bear" the whole ride home.

Definitely a holiday tradition I'd like to continue.

36 Weeks with Baby #2

36 Weeks

I can't believe I'm 36+ weeks already!  Time has passed by so quickly it's hard to imagine that I found out I was pregnant clear back in May!  We are getting super anxious to meet our little girl and I'm getting super anxious on deciding on a name.  We ask Kaylee every day what her baby sister's name should be, Madi or Allie, and she switches back and forth every day.  So who knows what name we'll end up using.  Kaylee also thinks that she has a baby in her tummy too.  We're still working out all the details. When we talk about the baby with Kaylee she gets very excited so hopefully it really is that exciting when we bring her home from the hospital.

Doctor's appointment went well today but I won't be having this baby anytime in the near future.  I'm not even a ONE!  /sigh.  I still feel pretty good overall.  I feel big and awkward most of the time.  I'm tired more often.  And I'm pretty sure this baby is sitting lower than Kaylee ever did at this point because I'm a little sore.  Other than that, all is well.

Shoveling Snow

Kaylee & Daddy shoveling snow.
The snow fell.  And fell.  And fell!  Thankfully it came all at once so we didn't spend the entire day shoveling.  Kaylee got an early Christmas present of snow boots, snow pants, and gloves that we couldn't wait to try out in the freshly fallen snow.  She really enjoyed herself...for about 10-15 minutes than she had had enough of the cold snow.  She tried walking in the deeper snow but didn't enjoy how hard it was to move her legs in it and really hated falling down in it.  She did enjoy making prints of her snow boots in the shallow snow however.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) the next day warmed up enough that most of the snow melted so we haven't had another chance to wear the snow gear.  Hopefully over the holidays we'll get enough snow to go sledding.  Well...I'm not sure the unborn baby would think that'd be the best idea (and I doubt I'd be able to get back up after sitting down on one of those sleds) but I think Kaylee and Brennen would have fun.  I'm a good spectator anyway.

Temple Square 2010 (12.13.10)

Last year, for the first time ever, my family rode the Frontrunner train down to see the lights at Temple Square.  (Click HERE to read all about the fun.)  We had such a great time that we decided to make it a yearly tradition.  Well I'm happy to report that the tradition lived on!  It was a fabulous night--not too busy considering and it was almost "warm."  I remember last year being so cold that you barely could think straight so this year was much more enjoyable.  Kaylee loved the lights and her favorite part being the "sheeps" at the Nativity scene.  (I didn't get many pictures because I forgot "the good camera" at home.)

Riding the escalator.  Probably Kaylee's second favorite part of the night.

Waiting for Trax with the Matthews family.

It's been such a fun tradition that one of these years hopefully we'll be able to get the ENTIRE Christensen family there.  We missed you Christensen's, Jacoway's, and Daniel's.  Until next year . . .

Christmas Dress

Kaylee sure is spoiled by her Nana.  Her Nana found the perfect Christmas dress this year.  Kaylee loved it.  As soon as she had it on she patted the dress and said, "So pretty!"  Needless to say she loved it.

Not the greatest pictures of Kaylee but "sit still and smile" doesn't seem to be in her vocabulary.

My how Kaylee has grown in a year!

Thanks Nana for the Christmas dress!  We love it!

Brigham City's Christmas Village (11.30.10)

Brigham City sets up a small Christmas Village each year.  Kaylee has really been into the "pretty lights" so we thought it would be something fun to do.  It was a fun, free, and fast family activity.  We were there for about 10-15 minutes looking at the "houses," which was perfect because it was 19 degrees outside.  Too cold for me.

This was her favorite display.  She loved seeing Santa inside.

Nutcrackers & Christmas Trees

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Fuller household.

We've set up the trees, my mom's gorgeous red and gold tree and the fun grandkid tree.  My in-laws have this great tradition they started years ago where each year they take the grandkids to the store and you get to choose an ornament to add to their tree.  My mother loved this idea so much that she wanted to start the tradition as well.  This year Kaylee picked a cat for her ornament to add to the tree.  No surprise there.  It was either a cat or a horse.  Out of all the ornaments in the store, that is what she narrowed it down to--a cat and a horse.  I'm a little surprised the cat won but...maybe next year she will choose the horse.  Or maybe she'll find a horse for Nana and Papa's tree?  I'm not complaining, the cat was way cuter.

Kaylee's ornaments through the years left to right.

Grandkid tree

The Red & Gold tree.  One day I will have one of these.

One of my favorite ornaments on the Red & Gold tree--St. Nick.
And my personal favorite decoration of all--my mom's collection of nutcrackers.  Kaylee was very helpful with both and this year she's had a lot of fun with the nutcrackers.  Last year she was a bit wary of the tall ones but this year they're her "friends" or "a boy" or "a daddy."

Just a portion of my mom's entire collection.

These use to be my Grandma Christensen's.  The mouse is the king from The Nutcracker ballet.  The other one is the King of Nutcrackers.

Brennen and I had a pretty good system set up for lighting and setting up the tree.  Row by row, I light, he sets up each branch layer.  It was quick and fast, definitely need to remember that trick.

We hope you all are finding yourself submerged in the Christmas spirit!  It's a wonderful time of year.  May all your days be merry and bright!
