O Christmas Tree

I helped put up two Christmas trees--a nice, pretty one and then a fun "kid" one with ornaments from when I was a kid and then new ones the grandchildren pick out with Grandma and Grandpa.

Here's the pretty one. I couldn't get a good one at night and this picture doesn't do it justice. It wasn't the best time of day to take a picture and not my favorite angle of the tree but the lighting was off on the other angle.

Here is the kid one all lit up:

This is a picture of the tree AFTER Tober climbed up into it and got a little too rambunctious with the ornaments.

A few ornaments didn't live to tell the tale.

And here is just a cute picture of Kaylee in her Christmas dress from Nana.

Thanksgiving Week in Review

Kaylee (13.5 months)

The week of Thanksgiving was AWESOME!! It started out with a date night, just Brennen and I. For my birthday I got Jazz tickets and Tuesday, November 24th was game night! The seats were fabulous! Lower bowl, row 21, DEAD CENTER. It's always so much fun sitting so close. The game started great but unfortunately it wasn't the Jazz's night. They were bad...really bad. Even the crowd was booing at them. But since that game, the Jazz have been on a winning streak so I guess the booing worked. We had a lot of fun and I only got a few pictures in before my batteries died.

Stoked for the game!

Getting ready for the game to begin. Nice view huh?

Thursday we celebrated Thanksgiving with the annual Fuller scavenger hunt. JeuneElle always does a great job with the clues. In our car we had Lexi and Brinley, and my cousin Tristan also joined along. We did really well and came in 2nd by less than a minute! We still had fun nonetheless. We ate some super delicious food with my family that afternoon.

Tasting the pie...and still deciding what she thinks about it.

She LOVED the pies.

But even better than the food was the family time. It was fun just being together, seeing some great movies, and playing games. Kaylee really enjoyed spending more time with her cuz Ellie.

What a wonderful holiday to remind us of all the many things we can be grateful for and the overwhelming blessings in our lives. I'm so grateful for my wonderful, hardworking husband. My adorable and healthy daughter. My wonderful family. And the gospel. Life can't get any sweeter than those things.

All dolled up for church.

Sorry for lack of pictures. I was too busy playing with family, cleaning up after Kaylee's many messes she made, and just too lazy to find it.

Halloween

My very sweet fairy princess.

Lately it seems like I haven't been able to get anything done (well, mainly blogging and emailing). It's funny how I can have a productive day but feel nothing has been accomplished until I have caught up on emails and blogs. Priorities right? Nevertheless, I've made some time to FINALLY post about Halloween (thanks to 3 napping babies at the same time. I'm babysitting twins (about 15-16 months) today. They've been great and Kaylee is loving the extra entertainment minus a few sharing toy issues and being jealous over my divided attention between the 3.)

Friday, October 30th:

As mentioned before, on Fridays my friends and I like to get our kids together for a couple hours. I thought it would be fun to have a little Halloween party to see the kids all dressed up in their costumes. The kids were all so cute. But funny enough, most of the kids didn't like their costumes. Picture time was quite interesting--bribery may have been involved.

Saturday, October 31st--HAPPY HALLOWEEN:

Part 1: Before we got ready for the day I had Kaylee color her pumpkin. She had a fun time and did pretty well.

"I dunno about this mom."

"This ain't so bad."

Kaylee's FIRST pumpkin

Part 2:
Last year we went to Morgan to celebrate with the Matthew's family and do the business trick-or-treat that afternoon. We had so much fun last year that we just had to go back this year. Before we go trick-or-treat Jamie makes a delicious Halloween dinner--breadsticks, yummy cheesy pizza sauce, with a delicious orange sherbet pineapple drink. Soooo good! After we gobbled up every last bite we headed downtown for the business trick-or-treat. Kaylee was super tired but enjoyed looking at all the kids and their costumes. The Matthews were very cute and were even nice enough to share a sucker or two with Kaylee. It has been a fun tradition the Matthews have so graciously allowed us to be a part of. Thanks guys! See ya next year.

Tanner (pirate) and Lindsay ("dead ghost")
Meagan (Hermione Granger).

My very sad fairy princess.

Chillin' and cute in the stroller.

Enjoying a nice spoon for snacking.

Decided that the sandwich was much tastier than the spoon.

Part 3: After trick-or-treating we drove back to Brigham, made a quick stop at my Grandparent's house, and then it was to the Jeffries Halloween party. Their house looked awesome, the food was so yummy, and Kaylee had a lot of fun trying to keep up with Kenzee. By the end of the night Kaylee was plumb tuckered out and fell asleep as soon as her head hit the bed.

25 Years

"I'm 25 today," I thought to myself as I woke up on the couch for the 3rd day in a row--Brennen's been sick and I don't want it. I slept like a rock, but not feeling rested, was sore, and my eyes were red and dry. "This is how 25 feels/looks?" I think as I look at myself in the mirror. "Yikes." Despite the morning it was a great day, with a few random happenings.

#1--My love note surprise. As I went into the bathroom, before I looked at myself and realized how awesome I looked, I saw this:

The little notes were reasons why Brennen loved me. :) Aaaawwww. Very sweet I know. One of my favorite reasons, "I love how much you love cereal and ice cream...possibly more than me." Ha ha ha.

#2--"25" pancakes. Pancakes with 25 written in them and pancakes as the #25. Chef Brennen did an excellent job. Very delicious.

#3--I put a hole in my parent's wall. That's right, a hole. See I was walking up the stairs, turned to look at Kaylee so she would follow me, tripped on the top step, crashed down on the wood floor, fell into the door, which would eventually cause the whole in the wall and a sore bottom.

#4--My awesome friend Michele, bought me lunch from Maddox. It was oh so delicious. She got me one of her personal favorites, the steak sandwich. I was thinking that it would be shredded steak but it was actually a thinly cut piece of steak that melted in your mouth and so savory with some amazing sauce. I'm salivating again. We ate at her house while our kids played. And to top off the amazing lunch she got me ice cream, 'Trick or Treat' ice cream. Basically vanilla ice cream, dyed orange, with chunks of candy bars in them. We've been friends forever and she definitely knows the way to my heart. Thanks again Michele...it was well needed and I had so much fun. I wish I could have stayed longer but...Kaylee taking a nap was my birthday present from myself.

#5--2 dead birds. I've lived in this house since I was 3 and this has NEVER happened. Apparently while I was at Michele's Brennen heard this loud thud while in the kitchen. He said it scared the crap out of him as he was only a few feet away from the window. He looks around to investigate the noise and looks outside to see a dead bird. Not much longer he sees the second bird fly straight into the window. Dead bird #2. Seriously...what is going on? And the windows aren't even clean. I mean you can see out of them but I didn't just wash them either.

#6--Yummy dinner. It's tradition in my family that the birthday boy/girl chooses their dinner. I love dutch oven potatoes so I had that and some yummy BBQ steak courtesy of my wonderful Dad. So delicious.

#7--Presents & Cake. I was spoiled by my family who all found some hilarious cards. Thanks guys! Kaylee enjoyed opening presents and when it was time for cake...she didn't even cry. We're improving. I didn't have a traditional cake, or "cake" but homemade asphalt pie. Sooo good.

She loves tissue paper.

"Yes!" Cute scarf from the Daniels.

Look at that smile! Oh I love her.

"Uhh....I'm not so sure about this mom!"

Still a little wary.

#8--Pumpkin carving. To finish the evening we all carved pumpkins. I love this fall activity and it was so much fun. My dad was the fastest carver so that was the only one Kaylee saw finished before bedtime and she was mesmerized by it. She stood by the window and kept pointing and "oohing" at it.

Finishing up the gutting.

Couple shot--we don't have many of these anymore.

Spider (Daniels), Traditional Jack O Lantern (Dad), Cat & Moon (mine), Mickey (Brennen's)

#9--A much needed, and missed, day out with my hubby. Today, (October 30th) Brennen and his 2 best girls are going shopping to use some of my birthday money and just have a day with us 3. I'm pretty excited...

...Just got back from shopping. I didn't find one thing--and I was looking for shoes!? How could I not find a pair of shoes? Well I did but it wasn't what I was looking for and I wasn't about to put down $60 on shoes that were very cute but I really need some other shoes so...I set them back. I guess I really am growing up. I couldn't even make an excuse to buy them. /sigh On a positive note--Brennen found some much needed jeans (with NO holes!) And Kaylee got a cute Backyardigans beanie baby, Pablo to be exact. We set out all the characters and she chose Pablo. Pablo is a penguin but Kaylee quacks...oh well.

Cole Stephen Macbeth

Pictures as promised. Isn't he SO adorable?

Blog Books

They have arrived! Awhile back I ordered my first blog book of the first year I blogged. I really loved how it turned out, minus a few things--the picture placement and italicized text didn't stay italicized. But I loved having a physical copy, it was really cheap, you can include the comments (which I thought was fun to re-read) and my posts downloaded so quickly (less than 2 minutes for the whole year!). So when my second year of blogging came around, along with Kaylee's first year of her blog I knew I needed to print out the books.

This is where I printed my books from: Blog2Print
(I have a link on the side of my blog 'Blog to Book')

However, blurb.com recently became compatible with Blogger and I think they allow more creative control so I may try them out next year. If I would have known this BEFORE I printed from Blog2Print...I probably would have have tried blurb.com.

Few sidenotes: They are 8.5 x 11 inches in size. I chose hardback but you can have a softback book. You can still do this if your blog is private--you never have to take off the private setting. It's really easy, but if you do it then you'll see how quick and easy it is.

Here they are (all 3):

I've obviously opened them up so you can see the front and back cover pictures. I chose a picture of us around the time we started the blog and then the back cover is us when the year of the blog was over, ie August 2007--July 2008. Which is why the second book has just Bren and I for the front and the back cover is all 3 of us. I also kept the same cover for the "Family Blog Book." That way everyone knows which book is what for when we have lots of these.

Just a closer view.

Hay Maze with Friends

Tate, Lucy (blowing kisses), & Kaylee

Every Friday my friends and I try and get our kids together to do something fun. During the summer we hopped around to the different parks around town. It has been a lot of fun and I hope we figure out how to work around the ever approaching winter season. A couple of Fridays ago we went to a local Hay Maze for little kids. Did I mention that it was FREE! It was just right for our little tykes (Kaylee, Lucy, and Tate). Kaylee loved playing in the hay, had so much fun with her buddies, and was filthy by the end. Needless to say, it was a wonderful afternoon.

I don't think Kaylee was into the picture.
